Offer

Laboratory of Mammalian Model Organisms offers complex assistance in performing animal experiments within the scope of projects implemented in the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry PAS. We offer scientific and technical support in animal research in regards to:

  • planning a budget for grant proposals.
  • experimental design of timeline and groups according to the 3R’s rule and ARRIVE guidelines
  • preparation of application to Local Ethical Committee or Ministry of Environment
  • organization of experimental animal transport
  • acquisition of required documentation to work with laboratory animals
  • training in basic techniques used in animal research
  • maintenance of mouse colonies (transgenic or wild-type)
  • acquisition of embryonic material on specific developmental stage
  • injections: intramuscular, intraperitoneal, subcutaneous, intracranial
  • microsurgery
  • transcardial perfusion, organ weighing and sampling, blood withdrawal
  • management of mouse colony database
  • keeping experimental records
  • basic behavioral, phenotyping observations
  • digitalization of data acquired during animal experiment, drawing graphs and basic statistical analysis
  • deep mouse immunophenotyping using flow cytometry
  • organization of Animal Facility infrastructure to be included into animal experiments, e.g. computed tomography, in vivo imaging system PhotonImager, motoric and cognitive functions assessment using PhenoMaster ActiMot2 and IntelliCage systems respectively, hematological and biochemical tests from mouse blood, metabolic cages
